Holy Week Monday

Three items:
  1. One hearing of the Passion is not enough to absorb its drama.  From its archives ThinkingFaith posted Jesuit Jack Mahoney’s look at “Lucan trends [in his passion to see] how can this narrative help us to understand that Jesus ‘loved me and gave himself for me?’”
  2. Mr. John L. Allen Jr. offered “five tests of whether Pope Francis’ reform of the Vatican could be real.”
  3. Julia G. Young looked at the “possible impact of the new pope on Latin-American Catholicism.”
