Promoting Jesuit Vocations

Each November 5 the Society of Jesus remembers its canonized and beatified brothers. The Society also prays for continued growth in numbers and also in vitality in its many ministries around the globe.

Praying for and promoting vocations in the Society of Jesus belongs to everyone. Jesuits do their part as they minister. Priests, brothers and sisters in all religious orders say that individuals who captured their imagination and inspired them, and imparted the feeling, "I want to do, and I can do what that one did," played large in their vocations. On this weekend nearest the Feast of All Saints and Blessed of the Society of Jesus, U.S. Jesuits offer encouragement to continue praying for vocations to the Society of Jesus.

In addition to the prayer card shown here (its iconography is described at thinkjesuit.org) is a video of some personal expressions of what priests desire for their lives.
